The MakeID is a solid label maker with a fun design, with high resolution printing, that has both the full customization of a phone app that can connect with your label maker, as well as some unique one-touch convenience buttons that made it an easy choice over other similar label makers like the Phomemo and NiiMbot devices. I often have the need to tag milk, food, and leftovers in the fridge with the date I opened them, and so the date feature makes this super easy: turn on the MakeID, hit date, and I'm done—no need to open up the app, sync with the printer, and then manually enter in a date. This is incredibly convenient. In addition, there is a saved "Custom" button which is also handy—I often have to label items with my kid's name for school, so I've just programmed this button with her name, and again, I no longer have to jump into the app to make my most common labels. There is a USB-C port in the back for charging and the cable is included. There is a cut on the white side of the label which makes you easier to peal the adhesive.My experience:In the past, I have to use the console tape to label things in my home studio, but I noticed this is not a perfect solution to make it nice and organized. Having this machine helps me make clear labels to things like microphones, cables, and other gears. So I don’t have to worry about messing up things ever.There are many good features and settings on the app, and it has a cute, clean, useful design. I'm curious in it for product labeling, price, and scanner addition. The cassette refills are quite simple to load. The software was incredibly configurable and user-friendly on my device. Love the spatula on the printers for cutting the tape. Just pleasing, unique, and charming. It's great that the tape roll has a slit already cut into it to make peeling off the sticker quite simple.I really enjoyed this product because it is super easy to use, it does not only print text but you can add images to your labels. I think the cutting mechanism on this is very smooth compared to other label printers where you need to rip the label and it does not come out smooth. The print quality is very high dpi even images on the small label are clear. I recommend this label printer highly.The design of the product is quite classic and I love it very much. It is very easy and convenient to use undoubtedly. I have already used it to tag my items in daily life. My work is more efficient than the past, and this little machine makes all the changes.I picked the 300dpi version in cream, it's so darling. I love the date button! I reached out to customer service because the date is not available in American format, they advised it should be updated shortly on 10/27/22. Great customer service! Loading the tape refills is super easy. I have an Android one plus 9 and the app was really customizable and intuitive. Love the handle to cut the tape off on the printer. Just cute, quirky and satisfying. Glad they include a pre cut slit in the tape roll to make removing the back of the stickers easy.
