I really like this label maker so far. I used to have a Dymo Rhino 6000 which stopped working because of cutter errors.I never liked working with the Dymo Rhino because of the limited functionality compared to using it with the computer connected with USB. Whenever I wanted to make certain types of labels for wire wraps, I needed to connect my computer to get them to print the way that I wanted. I was also not a fan of the buttons on handheld label makers from any brand. (Brady, Brother, and Dymo)Typing out labels from the Brother Label Tool on my iPhone has been extremely easy once I got it set up the first time. You just need to connect to the wifi network provided by the label maker. If you have an Android device, then you should be able to connect to the printer with NFC also. The Brother P-Touch editor on a PC is the best way to make labels for network room patch panels and cable wraps. You have a lot of options to modify the labels which is much easier on a PC than a phone. You connect to the Label Makers wireless network the same way that you do with the phone or you can use a USB cable. One of my favorite features is the half cut option. You could print out 100 labels all at once that are still on one piece of tape and then just peel off the label that you want as compared to the Dymo Rhino which would be 100 separate labels which end up being a mess. It also wastes less tape.Another nice feature of the P-Touch Editor PC software is the database option which allows you to type out your labels in Microsoft Excel. There are several generic tapes on Amazon that are very cheap and work fine. The Brother branded labels are also cheaper than other industrial label maker brands.I contacted Brother before I purchased to decide whether the handheld PT-E550W handheld or the PT-P750WVP and they recommended the handheld. I'm glad that I didn't take their advice and got the cube style with no buttons. You already have your phone with you 24/7 so it's not that difficult to give up the handheld model. It's cheaper too.
